By downloading, installing, or using the SyncU mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SyncU is a mobile application that:

Reads health and fitness data from Android Health Connect
Displays Health Connect data side-by-side with Intervals.icu data for comparison
Transmits Health Connect data to Intervals.icu using your provided API credentials
Operates as a local utility on your device
Does not collect, store, or process your data on external servers

Emergency: If you have a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately. Do not rely on fitness tracking apps.

3. License Grant

3.1 License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Open Source

SyncU is licensed under the MIT License. The source code is available at:

3.3 Restrictions

You may NOT:

Resell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App for commercial purposes
Use the App for illegal purposes
Remove copyright or proprietary notices
Use the App to violate others' privacy or rights

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your Intervals.icu API credentials
Any activity that occurs using your credentials
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.2 Accurate Information

You represent that:

You are at least 13 years old
You have the legal right to use the health data you sync
Your use of the App complies with all applicable laws

4.3 Health Connect Permissions

You acknowledge that:

You control which Health Connect permissions you grant
You can revoke permissions at any time through Android settings
SyncU only accesses data you explicitly permit

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Health Connect

SyncU integrates with Android's Health Connect platform. Your use of Health Connect is subject to Google's terms and policies. We are not responsible for Health Connect's functionality or availability.

5.2 Intervals.icu

SyncU sends data to Intervals.icu using your API credentials. Your use of Intervals.icu is subject to their terms and policies:

SyncU is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Intervals.icu
We are not responsible for Intervals.icu's service, availability, or data handling
Issues with Intervals.icu should be directed to Intervals.icu support

6. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

6.1 Comparison Display

SyncU displays Health Connect and Intervals.icu data side-by-side for comparison purposes. We make no guarantees about:

Accuracy of data from either source
Consistency between sources
Completeness of data
Real-time accuracy of displayed information

6.2 Source Data

Data accuracy depends on:

Source devices and apps writing to Health Connect
Health Connect's own data processing
Intervals.icu's data handling
Network connectivity during sync

SyncU does not verify, validate, or modify data from either source.

7. Disclaimers and Warranties

7.1 "AS IS" Basis

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy or completeness of data
Uninterrupted or error-free operation

7.2 No Guarantee of Service

We do not guarantee that:

The App will be available at all times
The App will be error-free or bug-free
Data syncing will always work correctly
Third-party services (Health Connect, Intervals.icu) will remain functional
Data will be displayed accurately in side-by-side comparison
Your data will not be lost or corrupted

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Liability for Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of data, profits, or revenue
Health impacts or medical issues
Decisions made based on App data or comparisons
Third-party service failures (Health Connect, Intervals.icu)
Data sync errors or discrepancies
Unauthorized access to your data
Any damages arising from use or inability to use the App

8.2 Maximum Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE APP (WHICH IS $0 FOR A FREE APP).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SyncU, its developers, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the App
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any rights of others
Your violation of applicable laws

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy:

Key Points:

We do not collect your health data
Data syncs directly from your device to Intervals.icu
Your credentials are encrypted locally on your device

11. Updates and Modifications

11.1 App Updates

We may:

Update the App at any time
Add or remove features
Fix bugs and security issues
Modify the comparison display
Discontinue the App

You are responsible for keeping the App updated.

11.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting at this URL.

We will notify you of material changes through:

In-app notification
Play Store update notes
GitHub repository announcement

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may stop using the App at any time by:

Uninstalling the App
Revoking Health Connect permissions
Deleting your Intervals.icu credentials from the App

12.2 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

Your license to use the App ends
Uninstall the App from your device
Local data is deleted with uninstallation

13. Governing Law
